PERU: Exploring the Mystical Traditions

We are a group of Bulgarian enthusiasts going to Peru - the ancient land of the Incas. We strive to examine the roots of an ancient culture and its inner spiritual power. How this mystical destination becomes an inner journey to the center of the self? We will study about the deep admiration the indige-nous cultures have for Pacha Mama - Mother Earth, the force of Nature and how our relationship with it can help us reconnect with our roots, become more grateful, balanced and happy. By means of yoga, meditation, workshops and meetings we will examine the links between the ancient cultures of the planet, where in Bulgarian tradition also belongs. We will learn, seek and explore mystical spiritual traditions that essentially have a common root. Our group leaves in late September. Everyone is free to join. Among us there is a Spanish speaker indeed. The group is open and accepts more enthusiasts willing to share our spiritual research. Day 1: September 22,

Arrival in Lima. Airport transfer and accommodation in the hostel.

Day 2: September 23,

Walk around Lima with a local guide. Visit the main sights and stories about local culture and traditions. Lunch and meeting with local activists who support one of the largest eco-yoga communities in Lima. In the afternoon - free time, optional visit to the local market.

Day 3: September 24,

Breakfast and transfer to the Eco Park Truly

Departure towards the Pacific coast, Chancay area. Accommodation in Eco Truly park. The eco-farm is an oasis in the middle of the desert, made out of gardens, trees and flowers and peculiar conical houses named truly’s. Walk around the yoga planetarium and the galleries of sculptures, paintings and glass. Created by the Vaishnava spiritual community, Eco Truly is both an eco-farm, a place for volunteering, a temple and a accommodation venue where yoga and meditation are practiced daily, in direct contact with the local spiritual traditions of the Indians.

Day 4: September 25,

Back to Lima, transfer to the airport. Fly to Cusco - the ancient capital of the Incas, located in the Andes. Accommodation in a hostel and free time to walk around/ dinner.

Day 5: September 26,

Day in Cusco. Walk with a local guide and stories about local Prehispanic culture in the region. Afternoon program in “Paramatma" center: holding a ceremony for Mother Earth worshiping according to the Indian tradition. Seminar program and Q&A. Evening walk around the city.

Day 6: September 27,

Getting up early. Travel to Machu Picchu by the tourist train through the Sacred Valley of the Incas and the Amazon jungle valley along the Urubamba River. Hotel accommodation at the foot of Machu Picchu and visit the hot mineral pools - Aguas Calientes. Water Meditation.

Day 7: September 28,

Visiting Machu Picchu at sunrise. Tour with a local guide. Stories about the sacred capital of the Incas. Lunch and return to Cusco.

Day 8: September 29,

Free day in Cusco for walks, markets and additional programs.

Day 9: September 30,

Bus from Cusco to Puno, located on the shores of Lake Titicaca. On the way we shall stop to look at the ruins of the three cultures before the Incas. Hotel accommodation in Puno.

Day 10: October 01,

Travel by boat to the Takile island, named the island of the men who are knitting, and visit the tribes living on Uros - the floating island on Lake Titicaca. Meeting with the Indians living there. Stories about their local culture and traditions. Back to Puno for dinner.

Day 11: October 02,

Extra day in Puno for a walks with a local guide and going to the market. Fly back to Lima.

Day 12: October 03,

Lima. Preparation for the trip back. Flight to Europe.

Day 13: October 04,

Arrival in Sofia.
